Digital printing in Mannheim

Short runs, different language editions or personalised content: we digitally print brochures, catalogues, mailings and other materials to suit your needs. Together, we agree the paper, quantity and finishing. Short runs, multiple versions or personalised content: we match the paper, quantity and finishing to your needs.

When does digital printing make sense?

Digital printing processes artwork without fixed printing plates. This removes the need for plate-making and allows content to change between individual copies. It is particularly useful for the following requirements:

Short runs and up-to-date content

Need a limited quantity for sales, an event or a first edition? Shorter runs help keep stock manageable. Updated content can be used for later reprints.

Multiple versions of one print product

Different language editions, regional offers or changing designs can be produced in separate batches. The key considerations are how many copies of each version are needed and whether the specifications and page counts match.

Personalised text and images

Greetings, contact details, offers or images can vary for each recipient. Variable content is assigned from a prepared data file and merged with the layout.

What we agree before printing

  • Paper and printed appearance

Surface and paper whiteness affect how images and colours reproduce. We assess which material suits the desired printed appearance and subsequent finishing.

  • Print files and colour expectations

Format, bleed, image resolution and embedded fonts must suit production. If specific brand colours are required, we discuss their reproduction early on. An ordinary screen view is not a binding colour reference.

  • Finishing and delivery date

Folding, binding and embellishment are part of the overall quotation and schedule. Digital printing’s short setup time does not automatically mean every finished product can be delivered at short notice.

  • Digital or offset printing?

There is no fixed quantity threshold. Print run, page count, material and finishing determine which method works best technically and economically. For larger quantities, we include offset printing in the comparison.

From your enquiry to the finished product

  1. Specification and quotation

Tell us the product, format, page count, quantity and deadline. We clarify the paper, versions and finishing, then prepare your quotation.

  2. Artwork checks and approval

We check whether the files are technically suitable for printing. For personalised jobs, we also agree how variable content is assigned and displayed. You approve the final version.

  3. Printing, finishing and delivery

Once approved, the agreed quantity is printed and finished. We then arrange delivery or prepare it for mailing as agreed.
